Information for PYP Yog teachers Updated 09 May 2011

Welcome to the newly trained Assistant Yog Teachers. Hope you came away with enough knowledge to keep yourself healthy and will be able to help/teach others. Remember to do the pranayam/asans everyday and watch Aastha(sky 849) 5am-7.30am as much as possible to continue the learning process.Find a Yog class near you and join-in and help run the class.Encourage others to take Level 1 training, as it is much more than watching on TV or DVD.Hope you completed the self assessment form (this makes sure you grasped the knowledge parted to you)and the course evaluation form. Please let PYPT know when your address/email/telephone details change.Keep in touch with your area co-ordinator.

Herbal

Have you managed to grow the giloy plant in UK?

If you go to Haridwar, get the giloy sticks and pass it on for people to try and grow or use.

Giloy is very good for blood – it increases platelet count. Giloy is very good for fever as well.

4th August is Acharya Balkrishna's birthday and on this day everyone is encouraged to grow a plant every year, and he says that you will feel his presence if you have herbal plants in your house. He is happy surrounded by plants, and plants talk to him to say 'Let the world know about the goodness and health benefits available from us plants'.On his birthday he gave out plants for people to take home and grow.

The PYP aim is to get every household to have a Tulsi,Giloy and Aloe Vera plant. If you have these plants, start propagating and pass on the plants to teachers and your students and your relatives.

Also on 4thAugust 2009, in India, a 5 Rs Patanjali postal stamp was issued. So if you find one treasure it.
